“I have a background in Fashion Design and like to approach tattooing in a similar way. To me, these two worlds are very similar, as you are crafting an identity through visual self expression. I love tattooing because it is a super extreme and personal approach, completely removed from a corporate setting and tailored to an individual body shape, like couture or made-to-measure tailoring. In the past year I’ve dived into doing visual and conceptual research on jewelry, embroidery and ornamental design, with a special interest on pearls. As the old timers say, tattoos are a treasure that can’t be lost.”

Lina brings her passion for intricate designs and artistic expression to life through all of her tattoos. Since starting her tattooing journey in 2017 in New York, she has developed a love for imagery that includes metallic objects, jewelry, snakes, flowers, and a variety of mythological creatures. Her work often features ornamental designs that beautifully follow the contours of the body, creating a unique and personalized experience for each client.

Drawing inspiration from classical painting and sculpture, fashion, and surrealism, Lina's artistic vision is enriched by her appreciation for embroidery, jewelry design, and architectural tile work. This diverse array of influences shapes her distinctive style and fuels her creativity.

Throughout her career, Lina has tattooed across the globe, from New York to Chicago, San Diego, Belgium, and Brazil. She has participated in notable conventions such as the Star of Texas Convention, Austin Tattoo Invitational, and several Villain Arts Conventions in Philadelphia and Portland. Currently, she often is a guest artist at Mikiri Gallery in New York and Red Devil Tattoo in Chicago, in addition to being a resident full time artist at Guru Tattoo in Little Italy.

Lina holds a special place in her heart for Guru Tattoo, the very shop that inspired her to become a tattoo artist. The level of craftsmanship and the supportive community of artists and clients make her excited to show up every day. She cherishes the opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate with all the talented artists at Guru and in a welcoming environment.

Outside of tattooing, Lina enjoys going on bike rides and hikes, visiting museums and zoos, and spending her time drawing, reading, and writing. She has a particular interest in exploring topics related to the subconscious, psychology, and sociology, enriching her artistic perspective and personal growth.
